Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
This policy explains how MadUnicow Game Studios ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use Clash of Stones (the "App") and this website. Questions? Email [email protected].
1. Information we collect
- Guest account. When you first open the App we create an anonymous account with a random identifier so your progress saves. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- Game data. Your in-game name and avatar, level and experience, coins and gems, ratings and trophies, match statistics, quests, rivals you have beaten, and records of matches (including moves) for replays, progress and preventing abuse.
- Purchases. When you buy something, Apple processes the payment. We never receive your card or payment details. We receive Apple's signed transaction record (product, transaction ID, date) to verify the purchase and deliver it to your account.
- Advertising data. The App shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information, your IP address, ad interactions and — only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). See section 4.
- Online multiplayer. If you play online, your moves are relayed through our match server, which processes your IP address and connection data to connect you with an opponent.
- On your device only. Settings, sound and reminder preferences, and a cached copy of your purchases are stored on your device. Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; we do not run a push-notification server.
2. How we use information
To run the game and save your progress; to deliver and restore purchases; to operate matchmaking, rivals, leaderboards, quests and seasons; to show ads that keep the game free; to prevent cheating, fraud and abuse; to fix problems and improve the App; and to meet legal obligations.
Rivals that learn. The moves of your practice games against AI rivals are logged so the rivals can improve. They are combined, without any account information, into each rival's anonymous "opening book" (which opening moves tend to win). Logged games are deleted with your account.
3. Who we share it with
- Supabase — database, authentication and server functions that store your account and game data.
- Fly.io — hosts the online match server.
- Google AdMob — serves ads and measures them (see Google's policy at policies.google.com/privacy).
- Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases and App Tracking Transparency.
- Legal — if required by law, or to protect our users, our rights or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Ads, tracking and your choices
- Tracking (iOS). We ask permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before AdMob can use your advertising identifier. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalised using that identifier. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland. We use Google's consent tool to ask for your consent before personalised ads. You can change your choice in the App: Settings → Privacy choices.
- Ad-free option. The Remove Ads purchase turns off ads between matches. Optional reward videos only play when you choose to watch one.
- Ad content. We limit ads to content suitable for general audiences (maximum rating PG).
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the App (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion removes your profile and progress from our servers; we may keep limited records (such as purchase receipts) where the law requires it or to prevent fraud. Purchases tied to your Apple ID (Remove Ads, Realm Pass) can be restored on a new account with Restore purchases.
6. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, server-side verification of purchases, and row-level access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure.
8. International transfers
Our providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of targeted advertising. California residents: we do not sell personal information; ad tracking can be declined through the App Tracking Transparency prompt or Settings → Privacy choices. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. Our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the App.
